Founded in 2020 by Dan and Nic, Gold Coast Meditation was born from a shared love of meditation and a desire to make it simple, approachable, and meaningful. We also aim to clear up common misconceptions, so anyone can feel comfortable exploring the practice.

We teach the Gold Coast Meditation Being technique and are dedicated to building a welcoming, supportive community of like-minded people. Our mission is to make meditation accessible to everyone, no matter your experience or background.

Although meditation had long been part of our lives, it was this effortless Being technique that truly revealed its transformative potential. The personal shifts we experienced in clarity, resilience, and overall wellbeing were so powerful that we knew we wanted to share them with others.

A great way to start is by joining one of our free introductory talks, held at our home on the Gold Coast. From there, we continue to support your practice through personal meditation sessions, where you can refine your technique, ask questions, and stay connected with the community.

Nic

From a busy “monkey mind” to a calm meditator, my journey to becoming a meditation teacher has been full of discovery and growth. Like many, I first encountered meditation through my yoga practice. As I began meditating more after yoga, I noticed subtle but meaningful changes — and so did those around me.

My commitment deepened during my yoga teacher training in Bali in 2015, where a dedicated practice began to take shape. I explored a variety of techniques, but it wasn’t until I guided a close friend through meditation that I truly realised its power. Learning how to teach the Gold Coast Meditation Being technique became the next step in my path, and sharing this graceful practice with others continues to be both joyful and humbling.

But enough about me — this journey is really about you! I’m here to support you in finding less stress and anxiety, greater clarity, improved health, and more vitality through meditation.

Dan

I’ve been fortunate to travel widely throughout my life, but these days I’m grateful to call the Gold Coast home.

My journey has taken me through many chapters — from DJing around Australia in my twenties to working as a Senior Wine Broker in my thirties. But the most transformative chapter began when I was introduced to a daily meditation practice.

That simple step changed everything. The benefits were so profound that I knew I’d found my purpose: to share this practice with others.

Today, as a qualified Meditation Teacher and certified Holistic Counsellor, I’m dedicated to helping my students discover more joy, awareness, clarity, fulfilment, and purpose in their own lives.
